WELCOME TO THE 2006 SEASON
My Fellow Bowlers,

Welcome to the 2006 bowling season.

This year could prove very rewarding for us at Camp Hill, we have the opportunity to establish ourselves as a formidable club in all divisions.

Our 'A' team did us proud last season by gaining promtion to the First Division; now is the time to carve out a niche for ourselves in this division and stay there.

The 'B' team should be able to at least get a place in the top three, if they do not get promotion; we have the talent, we have the will and passion, all we need is a little bit of luck,

What more can we ask of our Afternoon League team, regular winners of the A section of the league and last year, runners-up in the Afternoon League Knockout Cup.  Just keep up the good work lads.

It would be remiss of me if I do not offer a welcome to our new  and returning players, I wish you all good fortune and enjoyment with Camp Hill.

This season, after many years of trying we have a Ladies team playing at Camp Hill, it is made up of ladies from both Camp Hill and Westland; for this reason it is called Forest End Ladies.  I wish them well and hope that they enjoy their bowls, make progress and grow.

That is all, except that I urge you all to go out there and enjoy the game and the company.  Please do not forget our reputation as the Friendly Club of the Isle of Wight.

Good luck to you all, I will see you on the green,

Allan Timbrell
Club President.
